We are excited to add the "Ice Fisherman's Hand Sled" to our product line. This little sled came about much like our Downhill Toboggans did -- from the requests of outdoors people who have a sledding need. This sled is made for those folks who don't use an ATV or Snowmobile to get out to their favorite spot on the ice. There has been considerable input from "walk on" ice fishermen for design and specs of this particular sled. It is small and light for easy loading in the vehicle. It is also strong and stable to handle all the gear and equipment for a day on the ice.
The general consensus is that whatever collapsible fish house is preferred, is first laid flat on the sled, then on top goes a crate or box of choice containing tackle, equipment, lunch, etc., and along side or on top of the crate goes the power auger. it is up to the individual fisherman to organize his "outfit" to simplify loading the sled. Once the sled is loaded the load is lashed or bungee strapped to the sled.
Fully loaded, this sled moves like nothing and makes the hike out and back to shore a pleasure.
